Gun Violence Awareness Site Offers Impartial Views And Understanding Of Current Issues

By Kenya Saab

Gun ownership in the United States is filled with controversy and heated debates. There is a lot of concern about the nature of our gun culture and just what it is doing to contribute to the violence we are experiencing in our country. There are so many violent crimes being committed with guns that people are looking for answers and solutions to end this deadly trend. There is finally a website that talks about these issues without taking sides about gun violence and citizens rights to own guns.

The website is not affiliated with any organizations and respectfully evaluates the First and Second Amendment rights of citizens as it is written int he Constitution. There are some that doggedly defend their rights to bear arms while some think that the Bill of Rights was written for a time in our history that no longer exists and we need to re-evaluate this document to reflect our current world.

The idea behind the gun rights site is to educate citizens by helping them understand arguments from different perspectives on the subject. Blog posts explore topics such as gun control, the media's role in shaping public opinion about gun ownership, and demystifying the wording of gun laws so people can understand them better. Visitors to the site can also read about the benefits of gun ownership, America's history of gun ownership, restricting handguns, and whether or not Americans really need guns.

The site also has a social media presence and visitors can submit blog posts or comment on issues already being discussed. To ensure that the site complies with First Amendment Rights, the website is based on the idea that people are free to voice their opinions and views so long as it is done so in a polite manner. Being politically correct is not a requirement but is considered a courtesy.

Any derogatory or demeaning language based on religion, gender, race or other opinions will not be tolerated on this website.

More than just exploring Constitutional rights, the gun rights forum considers how checks and balances should be applied to gun laws, what provisions would be included if they were modified, and how to strike a balance between promoting safety and protecting freedom. Viewers are strongly encouraged to contribute to the discussion surrounding gun violence and the right to "keep and bear arms."
