These are products that protect the skin from harmful sun rays that cause skin cancer and other skin effects.

Avoid smoking. This too is one of the main causes of skin aging. When comparing a smoking person with their age mates, the person will seem too old than the counterparts. This is because of the aging effects that cigarette smoking has on the skin. It causes the release of an enzyme which has negative effects on your skin. This enzyme breaks down collagen and elastin which are the two most important components of the skin.

Sleep enough and on your back. Sleeping on your sides or with the face down can also contribute to skin wrinkles. Sleeping this way will lead to the formation of lines on your skin caused by the texture of the beddings. By constantly sleeping this way for a long period, these lines become permanent. It is advisable to sleep on your back with your forehead facing upwards. Also, ensure that you get enough sleep to avoid the secretion of cortisol, which is an aging agent that breaks down collagen.

Make sure you do not squint. Get reading glasses if you have a problem with eyesight. Squinting is a facial expression that overworks the face muscles. When these muscles are overworked, it leads to the formation of a groove underneath the epidermis. This groove later forms a wrinkle.

Replace coffee usage with cocoa. Coffee is one of the beverages that contribute to these aging effects on the skin. So, if you take lots of coffee, you can consider replacing its intake with cocoa. This is because cocoa is known to contain two of the most important dietary flavones such as epicatechin and catechin. These increase the health of the epidermis by increasing blood circulation to its cells making it feel smooth.

Eat fruits and vegetables in large quantities. These two have large quantities of antioxidants. These are the compounds that prevent skin damage by fighting free radicals which are unstable molecules that cause damage to skin cells causing aging.

Ensure you do not over wash your face. Use a moisturizer to moisten your skin. A moist skin is hard to develop lines and will preserve the natural oils on it. Avoid over washing your face to avoid doing away with the protection on the epidermis.
