Hunting has been practiced since ancient time. It is dated back to the stone age period. Archeological evidence indicates a finding of some hunting equipment such as spears and stone weapons that humans used to hunt with. Evidences of animal bones also show that it was practiced during that time. The weapons discovered were those of close combat. This shows ancient people had to chase the animal till they come close it and then stab it. The way Texas bow hunts for whitetail evolved over the years.

When people started moving to different parts of the world, they started to learn new ways that they could use to hunt more effectively. This enabled people to learn different ways. There was no change that happened with the original way of hunting. It was practiced for survival purposes. Food was then provided to people to eat. Trapping was one of the methods used when hunting.

This was used to catch small animals such as birds, rabbits and squirrels. A sticky substance was placed on tree branches. When birds landed there they will be stuck then people come to collect them afterwards. They used seeds that birds like feeding on to attract them to the trap. Rabbits and squirrels were mostly caught using nets and ancient animal traps.

Hunting was then advanced to be as a sporting activity and not only for survival purposes. The Roman and the Greek empire experienced this. This was done on horse backs with rows and arrows and it was mostly done by the rich people. Animals such as deer and wild pigs were hunted. Hunting was done as a recreational activity because of the availability of domestic animals which were used for food purposes.

It also served as a rite of passage. Children would be transformed into adults through hunting. This was done in some parts of the world especially in Africa. This practice is done in many communities. A young was sent to the forest for the purpose of killing a lion. This was a proof to show that they are men. Many young men were killed by wild animals as this was termed to be a dangerous thrill.

A form of hunting, involving trapping and killing of sea animals is known as fishing. People whose homes are located close to water bodies like lakes, oceans among others are said to have mostly practiced this activity. Many inventions happened around it as it was an important practice. Trapping of fish led to development of baskets. Spinning and weaving was later invented.

Spinning and weaving is an important cultural practice that led to the development and evolution of the world. It is part of the creative culture that is identified by most traditional people. People learnt how to swim in the process. And the invention of canoes and boats also came to pass. It enabled man to travel across water, thus water transport.

The invention of cruises and yachts is as a result of water transport. Cruising is among the most popular water adventures people engage in. This is one of the recreational activities. Fitness of the body is improved whenever an individual goes for swimming. It also maintains the health of a person.
