This process starts immediately you get out of water when taking off. This should be done with a lot of care and caution since it can be damaged if the right ways are neglected. The zip is the most of the things which are taken care off after the swim since even if replaceable, there is no time it will be as better as the one you bought it with.

The best time for cleaning it is after every dive in order to prevent it from producing bad smell when it dries without rinse. This will also help in removing the stains which might have stuck during the activity. The salty water on the suit will corrode and damage your cloth if it dries before you wash it. Therefore, you should carry out this task immediately you are out of water.

The washing process should be done strategically by washing from the outside to inside. This is where you will have to wash the outer side properly checking every possible salt particles and then do the same on the inner side thoroughly.

Make sure you hung it using plastic hangers and do it under a shade or inside the garage. This will help in preventing the color so it will not fade making it remain as new. Flip it as many times as possible when drying in order to dry up to the last drop on inner and outer parts. If you do not do this, the garment will get dry but the water inside it will remain and when it is completely dry it will react with the suit making it to get torn faster. Make sure you flip every part especially pockets and the parts which look like they had folded during the activity.

The other step is when you are done and satisfied that the outer part is clean, you should wash the other side thoroughly same as you did on the outer side. This will help removal of salt moisture on the inner part. The hanging should also be done wisely to prevent stretching and damage.

When on drying in the garage or any where under the shade, make sure to flip it in order to allow it get dry on both sides. Flipping must be done regularly till the time you are satisfied it is well dry. This process helps in making sure there will be no water to be left stagnant on the suit then you can fold it well and put it in the box or where you fill appropriate till next time.

Peeing on the suit when you are in water is not a problem but when it comes to cleaning use the shampoo to remove the stains and eliminate the odor. To prevent this smell from coming out of the cloth when you get out of water, take coffee before you dive. There are also other things like Mirazyme which are considered more effective when washing to maintaining the odor. Hung it using plastic and not wire hungers.
